The TinyHawk™ is designed to detect oil contamination on static background (concrete, floor, water) in continuous unattended mode. When oils are detected, the sensor can give out an ALARM which is sent via 4-20 mA standard,MODBUS, etc. Sensing, processing and alarms are done continuously in real-time mode.
The sensor operates at ultraviolet (UV-A) excitation wavelength in pulsed mode. UV-light, upon coming into contact with oil contamination will cause the re-emission of incident light with a specifically up-shifted wavelength (fluorescent light). This fluorescence is then detected and processed by the sensor – when reaching a certain signal threshold the ALARM is reported.
FEATURES
